About Alpine Crate

Alpine Crate started with a simple thought.

Most people only know the Switzerland that is exported to the world.

The clichés.
The polished version.
The commercial “Swissness”.

But there is another side of Switzerland that rarely leaves the Alps.

Small traditions.
Regional rituals.
Different ways of living shaped by climate, isolation and centuries of local culture.

Some of these atmospheres are already disappearing.

Alpine Crate was created to document and reinterpret them through seasonal editions.

Every release focuses on a different atmosphere, tradition or lifestyle connected to Alpine life.

At the center of each edition stands a handcrafted Hero Object.

Additional goods are selected around it to support the same seasonal narrative.

Each edition is accompanied by an editorial print combining photography, observations and documentation of the objects, makers and environments behind the release.

The goal is not mass production.

The goal is to preserve and share parts of Alpine culture that might otherwise remain unseen — or eventually disappear.
